Day 11-14

Well,, even though I made great progress, I did not drive the truck before it was time to return to work.  I lost some time with family activities and the sudden need to buy a new F150.  Those are just excuses and the fact is I ran out of steam.
The good news is this week I should be able to knock out a few issues.  I will continue to add some pics, so check back in from time to time.  On a positive note, if I had not tried this, the truck would not be what is right now.  It would just be a bunch of parts.  I am installing the bed floor and bolting everything down.  I plan to run a set of chrome smoothy wheels if they fit the rear.
Thanks for watching

Day 10

Now it is starting to look like a truck!

Day 9

I picked up the truck bed and running boards.  I will need to replace the floor in the bed and trim some metal additions from years gone by.  Running boards are junk but they will have to work for now.  Front subframe is wide so I am playing games with wheels.  Now I know why Will wanted a mustang II under his truck.  Camera is charging,  More pics on the way

Day 8

Christmas day.   I only had time to work on the driveshaft.  I used an adapter u-joint to go from ford driveshaft to GM front and back.  The only reason I did this was the driveshaft was the correct length. I hope it works.

Day 6 and 7 Pictures

Here are the pictures form day 6 and 7.

Day 6 and Day 7

Christmas has really slowed down progress.  On day 6, I went to Central Florida Driveshaft and picked up some u-joints.  You can be sure a man with a greasy apron knows what he is doing.  I also made a drop for the steering out of an old connecting rod.  Christmas shopping for the sweetheart as well.
Day 7  My buddies Wayne and David came over.  We hooked up the steering and set the front fenders after trimming the inner fender wells.  It was loads of fun but we were tired by lunch.
At 3pm the tribe showed up for family Christmas pictures.  They are all spending the night so we can open presents together in the morning.  I love  having all my children and grand children here.
Sorry about pictures.  I will download soon.

Day 5

Today I trimmed some beat up front fender pieces to use on the big truck fenders.  My steering parts came in and I installed the U-joints.  I bled the brakes and put in a seat for a test fit.  Tomorrow I have to go get some rear fenders and running boards.
